THE CAR IS BASICALLY A "PLAIN JANE" 1970 MACH 1 BUT IS MOSTLY ORIGINAL, INCLUDING THE PAINT WHICH IS IN BAD NEED OF REPLACING. I HAVE REPLACED ALL THE CHROME ON THE CAR WITH NOS (NEW OLD STOCK, A TERM THAT YOU WILL SOON LEARN) THE CAR IS BASICALLY SOLID AND SOUND. IT NEEDS PAINT, A REBUILT STEERING BOX AND NEW SPRINGS, AND WOULD BE LIKE NEW. A FAMILY IN VIRGINIA
OWNED IT FROM NEW UNTIL I BOUGHT IT. THAT'S WHY I THINK IT WAS IN SUCH GOOD SHAPE. IT WAS NEVER BEAT OR ABUSED BY A KID OR HOT RODDER. WHEN I BOUGHT IT 8 YEARS AGO, I REALLY "STOLE" IT, BUT THOUGHT I WAS PAYING WAY TOO MUCH. NOW WHEN I LOOK BACK I REALIZE WHAT A GOOD DEAL I GOT. I COULD PAINT IT, REBUILD THE ENGINE, WHICH WAS ALREADY DONE, AND COMPLETELY RESTORE IT AND NOT HAVE IN IT WHAT IT'S WORTH TODAY.

SANDY AND I ARE THE ORIGINAL OWNERS. WE ORDERED THE CAR FROM BILL MARKS FORD IN JERSEY SHORE, PA IN OCTOBER OF 1984. BELEIVE IT OR NOT, OF ALL THE CARS THAT I HAVE EVER OWNED THIS IS MY FAVORITE. IT'S JUST A FUN, NEAT CAR TO DRIVE. IT'S ALMOST OLD ENOUGH TO BE A CLASSIC BUT YET NEW ENOUGH TO HAVE ALL THE MODERN COMFORTS ON IT. I'M SURE I'LL NEVER GET RID OF IT. I HAVE EVERY PIECE OF DOCUMENTATION ON IT THAT YOU COULD EVER WANT. WINDOW STICKER, ORIGINAL FACTORY INVOICE, BUILD SHEET, BILL OF SALE, WARRANTY CARD, ALL THE TAGS THAT CAME WITH IT, AND LETTERS FROM FORD FOR RECALLS AND WHEN I COMPLAINED ABOUT THE REAR END GOING OUT OF IT. IT STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL HEAD LIGHTS IN IT, AND THE FOG LIGHTS "WORK". AND, I HAVE A LOT OF PARTS FOR IT TUCKED AWAY, LIKE EXTRA WHEELS, ORIGINAL BATTERY CABLES, SPARK PLUG WIRES, HOSES, SERPENTINE BELTS, WHEEL LOCKS, ETC. I EVEN HAVE A SET OF "FORD MOTORSPORT" REAR WINDOW LOUVERS ON IT. I DON'T USE THEM FOR CAR SHOWS BECAUSE JUDGES ALWAYS WANT TO DEDUCT POINTS BECAUSE THEY CLAIM FORD DIDN'T OFFER THEM, EVEN THOUGH I CAN SHOW THEM A 1985 ACCESORY GUIDE WITH THEM IN IT.
